Crazily ambitious, but 100% committed.

Lakelands Hospice is an independent charity committed to delivering the best possible practice and development of specialist palliative care for people with cancer, heart failure and other life-limiting illnesses. The hospice honours people's right to dignity and respect during all stages of their illness, by improving the quality of life of all hospice attendees and their families.

Lakelands nursing staff provide quality care completely free of charge, without NHS or government funding. This is why we want to help. It costs in excess of £515,000 per annum in to meet the needs of those among the community suffering from life-limiting illnesses such as Cancer, COPD, Heart Failure, Multiple Sclerosis and Motor Neurone Disease. The hospice is entirely funded by voluntary donations and support from the local community.

We would like to raise as much money for Lakelands as possible as we support the great work they do for the community.

With this, 12 Amaray volunteers from Corby have committed to the challenge of climbing 3 mountains (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, Snowden), hiking 24 miles...within 24 hours! This is no easy task. The volunteers will complete vigorous training activities in preparation for the challenge on 7th September 2018.
