Project 'Summer House' Officially Opened

12 December 2016

During September, we held our Global Leadership Team Event in Corby, where leaders from all primary organizational functions focus on our strategy and the company’s future. Throughout the event the team typically engage in team building activities, however this past September the team decided to dedicate their time and effort to more important and significant matters.

The team, along with many other employees dedicated their time to helping Lakelands Hospice. Lakelands Hospice plays a huge part in the Corby community. Committed to providing the best possible practice and development of specialist palliative care for people with cancer, heart failure and other life-limiting illnesses they also offer both practical and emotional support during what is a very difficult time. At the hospice, our team spent their time renovating and decorating the garden summer house located within the grounds. The vast improvements included; painting, carpeting, and weather treating the garden furniture.

We are hoping that after the transformation, the area will become a comfortable haven for patients and family members to relax and enjoy their time in.

The ‘Garden House’ was officially opened on December 8th during the Hospice’s ‘Light A Life’ service.

A huge thank you must go to local suppliers in Corby, all of whom selflessly dedicated materials free of charge for this special event;
